Trollbeads come in a variety of different colours as well as metal

trollbeads were born in 1976, when a young silversmith called Søren Nielsen created the first ever handcrafted silver trollbead ever to be produced. Called “The Mask”, the bead was intricately decorated with six different faces which changed expression as the bead was rotated. Originally only available from a small jewelers shop in Copenhagen, the trend for threading tiny glass, gold or silver beads soon gathered momentum and requests for all different styles, colours and shapes were made.
The original troll beads were made of metal, glass or natural stone. They can be used as decorative beads, made using stunning Italian glass, or silver or gold charms are also available in keeping with the more traditional style of charm bracelets which are particularly effective when bought as gifts for friends or relatives on special occasions. The beauty of these particular Troll beads is that they can be used to symbolize a hobby or interest the wearer might have such as music or history, or to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. A silver charm bracelet with one or two silver charms is a beautiful way to celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary. You could include a Trollbead symbolizing something about your first date, for example. Or maybe you’re celebrating an academic achievement. There is a Troll bead to suit every person and every person’s style, so the choices you can make with them are practically limitless.
The bracelets themselves come in a range of materials from gold to leather.Trollbeads also come in a variety of different colours as well as metal, so you can be sure that you will find something suitable, whether it’s a colour to accent a particular outfit, a symbol telling a story or just a particular bead that caught your eye, you are sure to find a bead which will be right for the wearer, and the great thing about them is that they can go on building their bracelets in as many different styles as they choose.
Trollbeads now ubiquitous, adorning wrists everywhere and even celebrities such as Emma Watson, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt have been spotted showing off their Trollbead bracelets, so there must be a reason for why they are so popular. The answer probably lies in their design, the hundreds of different varieties of Trollbead that are available, and the ability to make, unmake and rebuild your bracelet, much in the same way as the wearer can reinvent herself, at any given moment.
Warning! Trollbeads can become precious possessions which over time may become so well loved; the wearer may never be seen without theirs on. Well, that’s not a warning, really. But it is very likely.
